Cruise Bucket List
I have been on quite a few cruises and visited a lot of different countries, but when you travel I think it can make you greedy. I always want to experience more! I am always happy to revisit places I have been before if I loved travelling there. But I always try to go to at least one new country every year! So with that in mind here is my cruise bucket list.
There are some amazing locations on offer if you don’t mind dealing with the cold when you go on a cruise. Cruises to Alaska are becoming more and more popular and there are a lot of main cruise lines offering this as a destination. It’s a really incredible way to explore what can be a very desolate but beautiful place, and definitely, one you should consider. See what Princess Cruises have to offer for something extra special.
South America and the Panama Canal Cruise
One destination which always features heavily on round the world cruises and is something not to be missed is transitting the Panama Canal. If you love cruising it’s one thing that every cruiser wants to be able to tick off their list. It can take up to about 10 hours but it would definitely be worth it.
China and Japan Cruise
You can get some really good value cruises for China and Japan now. There are a few cruise companies that have ships permanent based out there so the cruises are on offer all year round. If you book a good deal you can get things like stopovers in Shanghai and Japan at the beginning and the end of your cruise to really make your holiday.
These cruises are often run by more specialist lesser known cruise companies but they definitely don’t scrimp on quality and luxury. The ships are smaller than normal and specially built to navigate the difficult water which can often be filled with ice. Because of this, they can be very pricey compared to some cruises, but they are definitely worth the money for what would be a very special experience. Take a look at Hertigruten for some amazing options.
This option would normally be with an American cruise line and would take a pretty long flight to get there but I think it would definitely be worth it. It’s definitely on my list as one of the places I want to visit and what better than taking a luxury cruise while you do it.
Iceland and the Northern Lights
Seeing the Northern Lights is something that a lot of people have on their bucket list, and what better way to do it than on a cruise. You get to explore Iceland and a few chances hopefully to experience the amazing Northern Lights. Of course, it’s not guaranteed that you will get to see them, it all depends if the conditions are right, but never mind you will just have to go again the next year. MSC offer some brilliant cruises to northern Europe.
This one is definitely on my list and whether you are a Disney fan or not it’s certainly an experience not to be missed. This unique cruise which is totally Disney and completely world class will give you a holiday to remember. The shows are Broadway standard, they ship is up to the standards you would expect in some of the best Disney hotels and the food is some of the best served at sea. Definitely, an experience that’s not to be missed.
So that was my list on must do cruises. I hope that it might have given you some ideas for your next cruise. What’s on your bucket list? Where are you travelling to next? Let me know in the comments below.
