My First Disney Cruise
In just over a week I will be setting sail on my first Disney Cruise and I can’t wait. If you follow me on social media you will know that I love everything Disney and obviously because of my blog, I love cruising. So these two things together, for me maybe my perfect cruise. I am so excited and can’t wait to share it with you all.
For now, though I thought I would share a few things about the cruise that I am looking forward too on my trip.
Whats for Dinner?
We are taking 3 night Cruise on the Disney Dream so that’s 3 evenings to try the food. The dining works differently from other cruise lines in that there are 3 main restaurants. You get to eat in a different one each night, but you always have the same servers who move around with you to each venue. I love this idea. You get to try different menus in different surroundings but still get to enjoy the traditional cruise setting of having the same waiters throughout your holiday.
There are 3 pools on board to try out and I’m sure we will try them. But the thing I am really excited about is the AquaDuck the first water coaster on any cruise ship. You basically get to ride a water roller coaster on the side of a cruise ship! Sounds kind of scary but also amazing and something I think we are going to have to try out!
Hooray for Hollywood
I have heard so many good things about the Disney Cruise Line Shows and I can’t wait to experience them for myself. Broadway quality on a Cruise Ship has got to be a good thing. I have to say I’ve seen some not so great shows on some cruises but knowing how high the Disney standards are this is one show I will not be missing.
Taking a Nap
We have booked a Verandah State Room. As we are cruising around the Caribbean I thought it would be worth it for the views. I would normally be quite happy in an inside cabin but thought a balcony might make it extra special. From looking at their website the cabins look much like cabins I have sailed in before but as with anything Disney there is always that extra touch of magic and I can’t wait to discover what the cabin is like when we board the ship.
My Own Private Island
As we are sailing around the Bahamas we get to stop for the day at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private Island. There are private beaches to sunbathe on. You can try your hand at snorkelling or hire a bike to explore for a few hours. There are shops to buy those last minute Disney souvenirs and loads of different places to eat and drink while you are on land for the day.
So much more to come….
I am so excited to experience my first Disney Cruise and of course, will be letting you know all about it once I am back. You can follow along with my travels on my Instagram and Twitter and come along on my first Disney Cruise with me.
