A New Type of River Cruise

river cruises under 45s

River Cruising is something that I have always wanted to do. Unfortunately, I think it really has a reputation as being something for older people, even more so than conventional cruising and I think that can really put younger people off. So what if there were River Cruises specifically designed for younger people?

A new type of River Cruises for under 45’s

I have looked into it a few times but I always worry about what it would actually be like. So Uniworld a boutique river cruising company has created a brand new type of experience U by Uniworld. A river cruise strictly aimed at 21-45 year olds and they are hoping to open up this type of holiday to a totally new market.

Their ships the River Baroness and the River Ambassador which will become the A and B and will be revamped for the new market to appeal more to their younger passengers. The itineraries are also tailored to their passengers with stops such as Paris, Amsterdam and Budapest.

The CEO of Uniworld has said

“U by Uniworld will deliver the same superb quality of authenticity and personalisation that the Uniworld brand is celebrated for, while offering a new way for exploratory, younger travellers to experience the pulse of Europe’’.

WIth the B based on the Seine, it will offer cruisers a taste of Paris as they sail. The A will be based on the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers giving passenger access to the Netherlands and Central Europe. This is to offer its younger passengers trips and activities which can be tailored to their tastes.

Have a look at my other post on River cruising here.

I can’t wait to book a cruise with U by Uniworld. Such an innovation in River Cruising and definitely something that the market is crying out for.

What do you think of River Cruising? Is it something that you would try? Let me know in the comments below.

I’ve always been so put off by the potential age of people on a River Cruise and the fact that there are so few people on them. I think this is really exciting and definitely something I will be looking into

what do you know.i booked one recently the week after coming home from a south pacific cruise.I will spare you the stories of what went wrong but the ship was way too big so was off to book on one of these to replace a new zealand cruise i had booked on ovation of the seas.this is ideal in terms of people you get on there and the places on offer.
